Bringing your household back to balance
with sensory design for your home.
Meet our chief
designer
Designer Beatrice Tokayer knew something wasn’t right with her family when her middle son wasn’t hitting the age-appropriate milestones on time. She had the innate sense many mothers do when something’s off and you can’t quite put your finger on what.
Her son wasn’t sleeping well, had too much energy without an outlet for it all, and was struggling socially and academically. Soon after, he was diagnosed with ADHD and sensory processing disorder, and Beatrice knew she needed to take extra steps to help him thrive with his unique needs. She began researching and collaborating with his child study team to gather more information about what would make him feel more at ease at home and in his bedroom. She discovered the world of sensory design and set about to tailor an environment in which her son could thrive.
Her own son’s sensory needs fueled her curiosity and passion for designing spaces that help children live happier, healthier, and calmer lives.
Seeing a greater need for sensory interior design, Beatrice has made it her mission to help families create home environments that allow every individual to express their true selves by being bold, refreshing, and tasteful while delivering on the utmost of comfort and functionality.
With the freedom to be yourself at home, your whole life gets better.
Beatrice grew up in Montreal, Canada and currently lives in Englewood, New Jersey with her husband and three boys.
She graduated from McGill University with a BSc in Psychology and quickly realized her true passion in interior design. She helps families design spaces that are an enjoyable, memorable, and connected place to be. She completed her Interior Design studies at the Institute of Art and Design in New York, along with a separate certificate in AutoCad and Sketchup. She continues to take on more learning opportunities, because she believes that you are never too old to be a student. She speaks English, Spanish, French and Hebrew.

What is
sensory design?
It’s estimated that between 40-80% of children have difficulty with sensory processing.
Your home should be a place in which your child can flourish and thrive. Children with special needs, sensory needs, and ADHD have a unique way of engaging in their space. We help you to create a space that lets them exert their excess energy, foster their interests and curiosities, learn, and grow!
If your child has special needs or sensory needs, they might experience:
- Trouble focusing and concentrating on homework, books, or other activities
- Discomfort in certain spaces and areas of the home, including their own bedroom
- Inability to channel their energy appropriately
- Difficulty self-regulating
- Anxiety
Sensory design takes into account the whole person and the intricacies of your unique child’s needs. We provide you spaces that support the way your child receives information, explores the world, and connects with others.
A space is more than just four walls with the perfect paint color. We focus our design on color, positioning, furniture, window treatments, lighting, sound, and that help to bring a sense of calm, comfort, and balance back to your home.
